Grains of Change

Our short-form series, filmed in collaboration with the Sundance Channel, showcases ‘Grains of Change,’ community leaders who are working to make their vision for natural living a reality and inspiring positive change in their communities.

Paul Maschka - San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project

A gardener with a cause—or several of them to be exact, Chief Educator for San Diego Food Not Lawns' Paul Maschka is not only a fountain of knowledge where urban agriculture is concerned, but also a champion for food security, and one of the urban farmers involved in the San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project. Paul was one of the urban farmers involved in creating the community garden at San Diego City College. The farm teaches students and the community about sustainable permaculture, agriculture, nutrition and leadership. > Visit the San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project website
