Go gadgetless
Less can be more when it comes to bulky kitchen gear. Do you really need a food processor and a mandoline slicer? Do you make fresh OJ often enough that you need an electronic juicer? Or would a less obtrusive manual squeezer do just as well? Challenge yourself to free up some counter space by ridding your kitchen of gadgets you no longer use or—let’s face it—may never have needed in the first place. Sell your surplus goods at a yard sale, give them away to friends, or donate them to charity.

I have never been that big on gadgets for the most part due to the fact that it generally takes way more effort to clean them than they are worth.
This challenge was so easy. I already do this most of the time. I don’t remember the last time I used an electric can opener. Knives work great for slicing, chopping, dicing. It’s just about not being lazy and not always being in a hurry.
