If your garden’s still in the sprouting phase, why not join a Community Supported Agriculture group? CSA members pay a fixed seasonal fee to a local farmer in exchange for a weekly share of the harvest, delivered to a location near your home. Today, while your own garden grows, learn more about CSAs in your area at Local Harvest, so you can start eating farm-fresh now.

CSAs are a great way to support your local community, get to know your local farmer and enjoy seasonal yummy food!

In San Diego, I love La Milpa. http://milpaorganica.com/

I’ve been a member of a CSA for a few years now and LOVE it! Our shares don’t start for another couple of weeks and I’m anxious to get my fresh greens!

The article on greens in the May Kashi newsletter came at a perfect time because we are getting mostly greens in our CSA box right now. It is a fun adventure!
