I love to fill my iPod with things with a good beat; something that I can step to when I’m out walking. Anything from Miranda Lambert’s “Kerosene” to M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” to Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” are great for distracting me from the fact that I’m pushing myself to walk longer and/or faster since I’m just walking to a great beat!
I started to workout to MaMa Mia. The music makes you want to move. Love it.
iTunes has workouts that have a “coach” talking to you as you exercise. I think these are going to be a good new challenge.
I LOVE listening to contempory Gospel music. The beat makes me want to move !! Also, I walk on the treadmill to “Oldies”. I speed up or slow down depending on the beat of the music.
I love putting on the oldies and daning with my kids in the kitchen…no motivation needed, they fuel the internal fire!!!
