Not a green thumb? Think again! Herbs, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, strawberries – depending on your area, various foods can be almost effortless to grow yourself. Start with something relatively simple and see how far you can take this wholesome habit! Today, challenge yourself to find out what grows well in your region and take steps to get what you need to start a planter’s box or home garden for this single item.

Herbs! Such fun to water these little guys, and they add so much to meals.
I planted herbs such as parsley, mint, basil, rosemary to name a few. I also planted a bay leaf tree in a pot to contain it. I love the taste of fresh mint in hot geen tea before bedtime.
I have planted over 2000 plants in a greenhouse I made from a discarded sat dish and it has flowers and veggies and even trees from seeds and i am close to the northwest terr
we are adding a raised bed this year for greens, tomatoes and peppers. We already have an herb garden, apple trees and wild raspberries
I love, love, love to garden. Not only do I grow a large veggie garden every summer & a herb garden (love fresh herbs) but I also grow my own blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, mulberries, raspberries & cherries. I also use an Aerogarden to grow indoors in the winter.
I grew peter peppers last year. When winter came i put the peppers into a heated porch and they grew all winter too.
end of may and the planting will begin – so very excited to be able to have fresh flowers to look upon every morning and the critters seem to like it too
this year I’m making a small raised garden. growing tomatos peppers squash radish.
I just planted some garlic yesterday and I plan on getting cilantro and parsley going.
This year my mom and I decided to grow a small graden that includes; tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and some various herbs.
I grew my own herbs on my windowsill, and amazingly—even without a green thumb—I did pretty well. I’ve killed off the plants I had this winter, so maybe it’s time to get some fresh herbs growing there again.
