The global standard of measurement is metric, and this standard includes the burgeoning field of environmental science and, more broadly, the green movement. So why is the US one of only three holdouts clinging to customary measurement? (Increasing gas prices and the need to quantify them more efficiently prompted Canada to finally make the switch, for example.) Today, challenge yourself to learn about metric measurement.

This is tough- It’s like trying to teach an old dog new tricks- I know eventually we will have to “go metric” .... otherwise cant comment …
