Embrace isometric
Can you fit exercise into your leisure time this winter? In a word, yes! If sit-ups during a football game intermission are not your style, try isometric movements like flexing your abdominals or glutes instead – nobody but you will ever know. Today, challenge yourself to perform isometric moves while you’re sitting in the car, working at your computer, or otherwise occupied with a sedentary activity. _Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine._

I have been doing isometric exercises every since my return home from hip surgery.I am on a 50% weight bearing restriction so they have been very helpful in gaining my strength back.
i tried doing some isometric exercises whenever i was sitting on the plane or at the play for a long time, and they work! i wasn’t so sore from sitting for so long…
I do this and it is good for me since I am disabled.
What I try to do is contract and release my abdominals while sitting at the computer. Good way I remember is having a postit on my monitor.
This is a simple way to do part of a workout. I’ll be able to do these during my classes, and nobody will know! Thank you so much, Kashi, for motivating me to get healthier!
