Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Currently driving the kids to school when other modes of transport exist? If options like busing, walking, or biking aren’t convenient, try reaching out to other parents; you may find another chauffeur and save on both energy and time. Challenge yourself to initiate contact with classmates’ families, start a carpool, or just find out which schoolmates live nearby. You’ll not only spend less time driving, you’ll likely earn some new friends to boot.

I drive my children and a few of their classmates to school (before going into work), and the other mothers take turns picking the kids up. This helps me out a lot since I used to have to wake up my youngest in mid-nap to go get my daughter from school.

Carpooling is natural for me. Three us us mothers live in the same neighborhood, we each have certain days that we are responsible to get the 3 kids to & from school. Works like clockwork.
