Have a whole grain day
Want to feel really good for a day? Plan an entire day’s menu around whole grains. Easily incorporated into everything from pilafs and pastas to breads and stews, whole grains not only help you get your fiber, they can also provide you with lots of other key nutrients. Today, challenge yourself to eat a whole grain at every meal.
(Dietitians recommend at least 48 grams of whole grains per day. As you increase whole grains in the diet, make sure you are getting enough water.)

I eat whole grain everything and always have. As a kid my fave bread was cracked wheat and whole wheat! Whole grain just has more flavor!
I have found an awesome flax seed bread available at Walmart.. it comes in a bread and also in sandwhich rolls.. which I use for dipping bread with olive oil and dipping varieties.
i love whole grain! :)
I always look for snacks and breads with whole grains.
Don’t be tricked by “made with whole grains”....check the ingredient list!
Check whole wheat bread; “made with whole wheat” to be sure that the first ingredient is listed as 100%, whole wheat, also watch to make sure there are no added sugars, corn syrups,etc.. in the bread for whole grains do the same check to be sure like gator9294 said
i love whole wheat bread.. always check the fiber quantity and ingredient list!
I buy double fiber whole grain bread. It’s not as bad as it sounds. It’s really very good and 1 slice has 3 gr of fiber which is 12% of your daily requirement.
leopat1010, where do you buy that double fiber whole grain bread?
wheredo you get it
I love eating whole grains, I had cereal for breakfast that was made with whole grains and for lunch I had a sandwich on whole grain bread.
I love all whole grain breads. I love the ones with the sunflower seeds.
oh this is easy I eat whole gain everyday anyway
This was easy for me too because I’ve been doing ot for about 6 months now. It’s fun to try new grains out.
Forever fan of the Kashi Original Pilaf. Since the first time I tried in back in 1986, I have been hooked.
I get lots of stuff from Kashi, so I know it has whole-grains. Otherwise I check the ingredients and I mostly get organic/allnatural snacks. Plus whenever possible, I get whole wheat bread instead of white…not only is it healthier, but its also tastier. I love grains! Also, I have had all-Kashi breakfasts: cereal, waffle and protein powder! So good and good for you!
This is so important! My kids have been raised on whole grain bread and pasta, brown rice, oats, etc. They don’t know anything different!
Kashi goes everywhere with me. I love the Vive cereal.
