Some household and beauty products can be used for a variety of needs. Some ideas:
• Essential oils can function perfumes or as bath salt fragrances
• Honey is ideal for both baking and as a moisturizing facial mask for dry skin
• Vinegar does double duty as a salad dressing ingredient and a mold eliminator

The next time you shop for cleaning or personal care products, challenge yourself to buy at least one product that is multi-purpose.

I cook with a little oil and clean with vinegar (it cleans better then any cleaning product on the market) Honey and sugar is the best scrub you can find, your skin is sooo incredibly soft afterwards.

I use olive oil for cooking, for salad dressing, for oiling squeeky hinges (I keep some in a spray bottle). I recently herd that olive oil is good for skin rashes. I also use vinegar for cleaning. Bleach is not only good for getting your clothes white but it is a good weed killer too.

Thanks Dkfir for the honey and sugar scrub, I am going to try it.

I used bleach to kill weeds. At work I used the Pam oil spray on sticky push cart wheels.
I have a bunch of essential oils I use for many different things. I also save the wax from used candles & make new ones.

olive oil is a wonderful body moisturizer, just make sure it is cold-pressed

I use vinegar instead fabric softener when I wash my towels. I run it through the rinse cycle. It keeps my towels fragrance-free, but softens them and fluffs them up fantastically. They stay very absorbent, too!

I use salt in my laundry the first time I wash the new clothes so the dye doesn’t run onto other clothes…... I also coconut oil to cook with and use as a skin moisturizer… Vinegar is my number one cleaner…. i use it from cleaning windows to just about any house hold task…...and of course cookin….

out of a remedies book i purchased recently, i have started to use 1 part salt to 1 part cream of tartar as a teeth whitener. it feels a little harsh to my mucous membranes but i’m trying it coz i drink coffee every day and i have stain problems more. wonder if this has to do with aged teeth? lol, i’m only 44 though!

I read this before I went to sleep and then had a dream about using the honey and sugar scrub, but there was too much honey and I got stuck to a big chicken
