Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Next time you want to show a loved one you care with a gift, try making something yourself. Not only will you likely reuse materials already in circulation, but the recipient will appreciate the effort. Some ideas:
• Make a scrapbook or photo album
• Knit a scarf, hat, or bag
• Paint a photo frame
• Hand-decorate clothing
• Assemble jewelry
Challenge yourself to learn a new skill or recycle well-loved items for gifting.

I love to make jewelry! It has actually become a side-line business! All of my friends know that for birthdays and Christmas they can expect a creation!

I have given embroidered towels and pillow cases as gifts. So far…no complaints. I would love to make a quilt one day.

I like crocheting and making dream catchers. I have given cross stitch gifts away before. I would love to learn to quilt. I think that the quilts would make awesome birthday and Christmas gifts.

I started planning a baby shower for a friend. It’s a garden party tea. Flowers, linens and lace. She’s so excited!
