Peddle to the park

Challenge Yourself for: 30 days

Riding with loved ones to a leisurely picnic lunch in the park is one of life’s simple pleasures. If the trip is too long to be do-able you can stash your bike on the front of a bus or on the subway, disembarking at a reasonable distance from your destination. Challenge yourself to gather a group and visit the park on your own steam.

(When logging progress for this challenge, only log as many days as you participated the activity within the 30-day timeframe.)

I scored big time!!! I found a $300 bike at a garage sale last Saturday for $20!!!! I rode 2 miles the first day I had it… but alas my butt hurt too bad to ride yesterday. Today I’m getting a squishy seat so hopefully today I can go 2 and a half miles… slowly but surely I will get conditioned enough to ride to work :)

No luck on the B&O ride. About 8 inches of rain! Hope Tour de Cure ride at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is dry on Saturday.

If the Thunderstorms ever stop, I can ride my bike again. Rain does not stop me, but I don’t want to be ZAPPED! I should be okay on Saturday for the B&O Ride.

OK, this is a great tip but… The word you are looking for here is PEDAL, which refers to the act of engaging and propelling gears with your legs through pedals, not PEDDLE, which refers to selling some kind of good. What is happening to our knowledge of basic English? Glad to know that you’re all having wonderfully regular bowel movements, but… really???

Getting ready to do the B&O Bike ride for 20 miles on June 7th. Then a week later doing Tour de Cure for Diabetes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway laps around the track from 8:00 to 2:00. I will take a week off before doing the NITE ride startin at 11:00 PM on June 28th for 20 miles. Just listen to the sweet sound of spokesongs.

My husband and I purchased bikes a couple of weeks ago. We are riding with the kids about four times a week. We love it! Skywatcher, hows it going with you?
