Walking trails is something I just started. I dearly loved the first couple of walks. Just being alone with nature was wonderful. I had been doing most of my walks on city streets or a 400 meter track. Always lots of noise, traffic, people. I am training for a 50k trail race.
I hiked up the ridge and when I got to the top I could see 3 of the other channel islands!!! It was so beautiful. I went early in the morning so I could beat the heat
Minnesota doesn’t have too many mountians to hike either but I do take my 2 dogs for a 5 mile walk every day.
I have several hikimg trails near my house. I am going to do three of them this week.
Living in New England I am able to go to the mountains every week end. My boyfriend and I have started in on climbing all the 4000 footers in New hampshire. Our goal is to have them done by fall 2009.
I’m going on a 3 hour mountain hike today. I love communing with nature while getting exercise.
I live in Louisiana which makes it hard to do the climb a mountain part but i can do the nature part….i love the nature!
