Avoid overdrying

Submitted by SiteEditor Read more 30 day challenge, daily challenge, and energy savers
Challenge Yourself for: 30 days

Overdrying disappoints in a number of ways. It uses excess energy, it leaves clothes more wrinkled (requiring additional ironing), and it wears fabric faster. The next time you do laundry, challenge yourself to remove clothing when it’s a bit damp.

(We’ve given you 30 days for this challenge. When you log your progress, you only need to log as many days as are applicable.)

I grew up with a clothes line…...everything got hung up (outside). When mom and dad got a clothes dryer, it was likw wow. Guess what? I prefer to hang dry my clothes. The towels and undies get put into the dryer, but as far as bluejeans etc that I will not need right away gets hung up. I have a wire shelf unit in my garage, I hang them up in there, it gets so hot during the day it only takes a couple of days, or less to dry.

Hang drying your clothes helps save them from wear and tear and it also saves energy and money. :)

I do this on a regular bases cause I wear a lot of cotton and shear fabrics. The dryer srhinks clothes. And since I am tall, I have trouble getting them long enough. So I dont need any help.

I too have a dryer with an automatic sensor and it works well. But I also hang up all of my clothes and my daughters dresses. I will try this challenge with the rest of our clothes and see how it works. Saving money and energy is very smart. God blesses us with common sense and we all need to use it. It’s great to see so many great people doing something good. We also need to treat each other with as much respect as we are expected to treat this earth with.

My dryer has an automatic sensor that senses when the clothes are dry! I always use this option. DON’T FORGET TO CLEAN THE LINT TRAP AFTER EASCH LOAD!

The majority of my clothes are dried naturally. I just hang them right up in my doorway and let the Good God do the rest. It takes a couple of days and also gives the clothes extra life.
I am thinking of possibly hanging my under clothing as well and save more engery and money!
