I work at a coffee shop, bringing a smile to someones face before their first Cup o’ Joe in the morning proves to be a challenge daily, but I love doing it!
smiling makes me feel good and i believe it keeps your heart and mind healthy and at ease!
I find that most people try to avoid direct eye contact when passing by in the halls at my company. I make it a point to say Good Morning or Afternoon along with a smile. Attach a have a nice day and watch the reactions that you’ll get. I’m from N.Y and it’s not just a “southern thing”. :-)
I always like to make a point to smile at strangers, it sends them a good aura and brightens their day. You know what they say, smiles are contageous :D
Smiling at people always makes me feel better! Strangers also seem to respond better when you are smiling. It can defuse a tense moment(like in a crowded check-out line that’s moving real slow!)
I have always smiled at people I don’t know. Giving a smile gives people a warm feeling. I have heard people in other large cities comment “do you know her?” Smiling is certainly a southern thing.
I always smile at people. It makes me feel good to smile and sometimes can be contagious.
I smile at the elderly, makes me feel good and the reaction from the is great, like someone cares about them.
i smile at strangers just not to be rude?!
I didn’t so much like to smile at people because I cracked my tooth 3 years ago on a banquet dinner. Though just 2 days ago I finally got it fixed and now I am getting my confidence back and I sure am smiling at people now.
i love to smile at people i don’t know, especially babies and older folks. it makes them wonder what you’re up to! often, smiling at a stranger is a great way to meet a new person.
I never thought about until today but when i smile at someone and they smile back I feel this awesome giddy feeling i mean it’s so cool :)
You never know what impact you will make on someone’s day just by smiling at them. Making eye contact with people who are holding signs on street corners is also a way of saying – I see you, you are just as important as anyone else. I usually don’t have spare money but this costs nothing to do.
yeah..we all need love,in fact is the most important of all the gifts in this life. Thanks for the reminder!I really love the positive energy around here I’m joining you good people in your good deeds!
When I first started living in a new country and I was feeling a little lonely, I would take a walk in the evening and make a point to smile at people as they passed. In just a short time, I felt so much better. Even though it was just a brief moment, it seemed to be the connection I needed!
smiling at others is a great way to relieve stress.. for you and the person you give it to!
I always try to make others happy. For instance I always tell my cashier to have a fantastic day. My daughter seems to be picking up on this because she has started telling every cashier (if they are female) that they are pretty, and you can tell by the smile on their face that they needed to hear that. Whether they are nice to you or not, by showing them a little kindness, you can help them be kinder.
People seem happier when you smile at them.
one smile may make a person’s day.
oh yes, smile is making you are more pretty, but also may make someone misunderstand. It makes a day more happy, but may bring some more problems, expecially someone like me, a married woman. LOL
A married woman knows how to keep herself out of “dangerous “situations with her words ,body language, etc. right(nip it in the bud girl!)?Then a savvy married woman should feel free to let her light shine
Medically speaking, you use 3x less muscles in your face when you smile than when you frown! Smile more often~
I think a simple smile can make someones day!
I do this often at work and out in public. I try not to smile at someone I might give the wrong idea to, though. After all, I am married. LOL!
