Color your diet healthful
Fruits and veggies are actually colored by their various nutrients and phytochemicals. As a result, the more colors you eat at each meal, the more nutritious it is.
Today, challenge yourself to eat at least 5 fruits and veggies from each of these colors so that by the end of the day you’ve eaten a rainbow:
• Red (red apple, cranberries, grapes, red potatoes, radishes)
• Yellow/orange (grapefruit, oranges, bananas, squash)
• Purple/blue (eggplant, raisins, dried plums/prunes, purple potatos)
• Green (avocados, broccoli, kiwi, spinach, snow peas)

I always like to try new fruits and veggies i’m never tried before.. Espcially when you try cooking them different ways..
What a fun way to get your children in on eating better too.
fruit is better than i thought
Who knew eating an array fruit and veggies would taste sooooo good. I have been experimenting with different things in the produce section. I have been trying things I never ever thought I would try and they actually taste better than most sweets!
being vegitarian its easy to remember to try to eat your rainbow of colors!
I love this, it worked very well and it was very fun.
Color makes food more exciting without having to add high fat starches and fillers. Also using bright dishes to show off your food makes one feel better too. If you feel better when you sit to a meal then you can then concentrate on the evening and conversation, not just eating out of habit.
I agree its a really fun way to eat new things!
I love the variety of vegetables you can add to ordinary dishes. It’s really easy to add nutrition to each meal.
I love doing this! It’s kinda cool to see how many different veggies you can put into a meal.
