Eat for autumn

There’s something comforting and instinctive about eating seasonal foods. Just think about how good it feels to eat a thick, rich stew filled with potatoes and carrots on a cold rainy night or a light fruity salad on a hot summer’s day and you’ll know what we’re talking about. Because supermarkets are filled with foods from all seasons, many of us have no clue which foods are appropriate for which seasons. Today, make an effort to incorporate autumn produce into as many of your meals as possible.

I agree! One of my new favorite loves is sweet potatoes! They are tastier and healthier than regular potatoes, and so so versatile. I’ve used sweet potato puree in bread, as a yummy topping for multigrain pita chips and boiled sweet potato in chicken black beans tacos. They remind me so much of fall…pumpkin puree is great too, in rice and bread!

Fall and winter is a great time for preparing food that you raised in the garden. We love to make a stew with all kinds of ingredients especially include wild rice and bake it in a pumpkin- awsome meal.

I’m starting to lose a little weight and am trying to eat fresh apples and almonds, along with a Kashi bar in the morning with a cup of green tea.

I love autumn for the sweetpoatoes and squash. My new favorite dish is sweetpoatoe fries made in the oven with oliveoil and brownsugar.

One of my favorite autumn dishes is a “half stew” consisting of boiled potatoes, onions, and carrots.
