Make pasta from scratch
Ever wonder what it’d be like to make pasta from scratch? Although it’s not difficult, it can be somewhat time-consuming. But there are so many benefits! To start, because homemade pasta is made with eggs (and whole grain flour, if you choose), it’s more nutritious than store-bought varieties. Moreover, there’s something to be said for pleasure of tasting something you’ve made from scratch and sharing it with family and friends.
This weekend, take the time to learn how to make pasta. Then, share what you’ve made with your loved ones.
(We’ve given you 2 days for this Challenge. When you log your progress, you only need to log as many – or as few – days as are applicable.)

I bought a pasta machine online a few weeks ago and started making my own pasta from scratch. I’ll never buy anymore pasta from the store, I tell ya what. It’s soooo easy to make and pretty fun too. And it’s something that my wife and I can do together as an activity to spend more time together.
I had fun making pastas with Chickpea flour and kumut. It really adds just flavor to your pastas that often you only need a bit of olive oil instead of a sauce!
Love my pasta maker. It’s nice to be able to have different flavors instead of ordinary store stuff…plus extra wheat.
Much simpler then I thought it was going to be, and gave me an excuse to buy a rolling pin.
i made a lasagna from scratch but instead of using the pasta sauce i used sliced tomatoes onions and sweet peppers
alyssalovesyou28, same here. Christmas Eve we have a traveling dinner, it started with just the brothers and sisters and it now includes their families.
does anyone have any good recipes?
I made my own whole wheat ravioli and they were delicious! I am thankful that I have spent 7 years as a professional caterer and learned how to make simple substitutions to make recipes healthier. It makes my waistline happy as well! :)
I make pasta and ravioli every year about 3 weeks before christmas. its tradition!!! we love making it, it brings us together as a family and its also much healthier than canned! I suggest you to try getting your family together, its really fun!!!
This was so much fun! And a lot less time consuming than I expected.
