Getting the Good Fats
Many people don't know it, but fat is a significant energy source and a crucial part of a healthy diet. In addition, certain types of fat — such as omega-3s and monounsaturated fatty acids — have heart health benefits. One of the best ways to improve the quality of your fat intake is to make simple substitutions, like replacing the bacon bits on your salad with pieces of avocado. Watch this video to learn how to consume the "good" fats while reducing your saturated fat intake.

We all need to have Sat. fat in our stomachs, once we begin eating, for it helps to keeping us filled up, or, not getting too hungry.
Hmmm, do you have your facts straight? Saturated fats, stay away from! We need to watch out for too much Omega 6 fats(most vegetable oils). We need more “mono” fats (olive oil, nuts), Omega 3s (fish, salmon,mackeral/flaxseed)
I LOVEEEEE avocados – try this – I sometimes use avocados (mashed for easier spreading) on my sandwiches in place of mayo. Yeah, I thought it was discusting thought too as much as I love avocados when my co-worker (who got me started on Kashi products) told me about it, too until I tried it. Oh man! yummers. (I also use mustard sometimes rather than mayo) =0)
Actually. We need all the fats (saturated included). They just need to be taken in moderate amounts. What you really want is to take the effective ratios of poly-mono-and sats through your diet. Fish oil (liquid form) is a very good o-3 source and works like a charm mixed with balsamic vinegar in any salad.
Yummm! I will most def try the Avocado Spread ;) thanks RaidersRule
