Along with our calcium, don’t forget your magnesium. They are necessary together for the most benefit. For magnesium, eat your dark leafy greens, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds & fish.
As for low sodium sardines – check out this website as it lists all sorts of foods & brands along with their sodium content & YES sardines are in there! :) http://www.lowsaltfoods.com/food_center/lsfoods/fish.htm

What about the sodium in sardines. Has anyone found a brand that isn’t loaded with it? I could eat sardines everyday but the sodium is so high (what do people do who have high BP?)

Wished to share an informative article from LA Times in the year 2000
I believe the article is very infomative to those whom wish to learn.

    http://www3.sympatico.ca/truegrowth/moringa.html

As well want to share a informative video of a us based charity that deals with the Moringa tree.
I felt the video was very hopeful for those whom want to know.
As the video states, “one tree, one life, one heart at a time.”
“Whatever you learn, teach two other people and ask them to do the same.
    So, here is your teaching.

Have always been familiar with the benefits of consuming sardines. They are not my favorite among the fish family, but i view the benefits of sardines greater towards obtaining omega 3

Now, for the point of obtaining benefits of calcium, ( even for those vegetarians),my suggestion even greater than consuming sardines for calcium is to bake with the leaves of the Moringa tree.
As PandahAmandah had mentioned different foods for calcium, i suggest you cross evaluate even these suggestions you provided and consider the leaves of the Moringa tree. Others call it the
drumstick, while searching about its vitamin enriched properties.
Basically, there are about 13 different species of the Moringa tree.

I have been informed that the leaves of the Moringa tree possess four times the calcium value of milk.
Posesses seven times the amount of Vitamin C than oranges.

Broccoli offers one of the highest forms of calcium. Be careful, don’t cook it too much or nutrients are lost. Raw is the best form for nutrient consumption.

I love the quick takes and can actually do this. I’ll skip the sardines though.
